Team CSG Raises Over $24,000 for the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is proud to announce that Team CSG has raised more than $24,000 for the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice (“NJISJ”), an organization dedicated to promoting social and racial justice through research, public education and the development of pilot programs, legislative strategies and litigation. CSG kicked off the fundraising effort with a $10,000 donation, and the firm’s employees joined in to support the initiative as well, ultimately contributing more than $14,000.

“As a law firm, it is our moral responsibility to address the inequities that impact our neighbors, and we are extraordinarily proud of the dedication and solidarity demonstrated by our employees consistent with that objective,” noted Daniel A. Schwartz, CSG’s Managing Member, on the fundraising campaign. “Beyond this financial contribution, we remain committed to making our workplace, our profession and our community more just and inclusive spaces by taking sustained and steadfast action.”

Notably, CSG’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, chaired by Shirley U. Emehelu, a Member with the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense & Government Investigations Group, is developing a robust curriculum of internal and external activities to further the Committee and the firm’s shared objectives of supporting social justice causes, promoting inclusivity and open dialogue, and fostering employees’ well-being.

“I am grateful for the outpouring of support our employees have provided to the rallying cry of our Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the NJISJ, and I am confident that our leadership team’s continued sponsorship of these critical initiatives will be a catalyst for forward progress, momentum and change,” added Ms. Emehelu.
