ROI-NJ: State to offer restaurants temp permits to serve alcohol on expanded outdoor seating areas

With the long-awaited reopening of outdoor dining in New Jersey right around the corner on June 15, the State has announced a temporary permit allowing restaurants to serve alcohol within expanded outdoor seating areas.

Barata, Food & Beverage attorney and former Deputy Attorney General with New Jersey's Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, weighed in on the new permit – noting that restaurants with existing outdoor areas will need to be aware of how the new regulations apply to them.
