ROI-NJ: CSG's Toft on why Murphy environmental order doesn't change as much as some think
Dennis M. Toft was featured in a ROI-NJ article discussing New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy's Executive Order No. 63 – which changes the way New Jersey evaluates rulemaking and allows the state to adopt more stringent standards where regulators believe federal standards are inadequate.
In the article, Dennis explains why the order will not be a detriment to the state's business community despite recent reports claiming otherwise – saying, "New Jersey already has a number of laws that require us to do things differently than the federal government does. Site remediation laws in New Jersey are different than the federal laws; they require different standards. The clean air issues in New Jersey are dealt with a little bit differently than at the federal level."
