Mr. Baldwin, author of Thomson Reuters’ New Jersey Family Law and Practice with Forms Vols. 10-12 (1999), a three-volume treatise with annual updates covering virtually all New Jersey family law topics, has successfully handled hundreds of contested and uncontested divorces, custody, child removal, domestic violence, post-judgment modification of support, and the general gamut of family law disputes during his over 35 years of practice. His practice has helped shape New Jersey’s family law landscape. He has negotiated, drafted, and when necessary, sought enforcement or the setting aside of written contracts of all types from premarital and reconciliation agreements to support and property settlement and custody and parenting time agreements. He also has extensive appellate experience, is a seasoned litigator, and a trained mediator.

  • Cardali v. Cardali, 2023 WL 5023453 (Supreme Court, August 8, 2023); Clarification of prima facie standard of changed circumstances based on alimony recipient’s alleged cohabitation and prophylactic measures to be employed by court in such matters.
  • Steele v. Steele, 467 N.J.Super. 414 (App. Div., April 30, 2021); Issues relating to enforcement of a marital agreement.
  • Sauro v. Sauro, 425 N.J.Super. 555 (App. Div., May 14, 2012); Parents perceived need to ensure payment of children’s college expenses despite parents’ litigation and incurrence of attorney fees to advance divorce issues, including a trial, exalted over attorney law firms’ statutory charging liens; courts must act “swiftly” in children’s best interests where parents are unable to do so.
  • Hendry v. Hendry, 339 N.J.Super. 326 (App. Div., April 21, 2001); New Jersey retained child custody jurisdiction under UCCJA where mother sought to invoke jurisdiction of North Carolina courts.
  • Conlon v.
