Industry Experience
Elisa M. Pagano is an accomplished attorney in the firm’s Litigation Group. With more than twenty years of experience in commercial litigation, Elisa provides counsel to a broad range of clients. Her experience includes representing clients at all stages of litigation in matters involving, among others, contract disputes, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, trust and estate disputes, franchise disputes, disputes involving health care companies (including group purchasing organization agreements and supply agreements), federal and state civil rights claims, and equipment leasing and asset-based lending disputes. Elisa appears regularly in state and federal court as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums. She has mediated dozens of cases, resulting in the resolution of disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Elisa is detail oriented and the clients she counsels regularly look to her to identify issues and employ creative problem-solving skills. She is committed to maintaining a high level of communication with clients and takes the time to truly involve clients and incorporate their goals, concerns, and feedback to optimize her representation of them.
Elisa received her J.D., with high honors, from Rutgers Law School, where she was named a Dean’s Scholar for four consecutive semesters. Upon graduating law school, Elisa served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Charles J. Walsh, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, Civil Division.
A native of New Jersey, Elisa earned a B.A. from William Paterson University. Prior to attending law school, Elisa worked in the financial services industry in New York City for the Fiscal Transfer Agent of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 7(a) Loan Program and Secondary Market. Elisa is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
