Terri Jane Freedman of CSG Law Named IWIRC-NJ’s Woman of the Year for 2023

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) is pleased to announce that Terri Jane Freedman, Counsel with the Firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights and Litigation Groups, was named Woman of the Year for 2023 by the New Jersey Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (“IWIRC-NJ”).

Terri has nearly 30 years of experience in corporate and individual bankruptcy, commercial litigation and distressed transactions – representing debtors, creditor committees, landlords, trustees, shareholders and secured creditors in Federal bankruptcy court and state court liquidations. She has served as a key advisor to entities ranging from multimillion-dollar corporations to smaller businesses and individuals.

With respect to the IWIRC-NJ, Terri has served on the board of the organization’s New Jersey Network as well as the International IWIRC Board for 18 years. As noted by the IWIRC in its announcement, Terri “has been an integral part of shaping the New Jersey Network and helped lead New Jersey to receive the Ryan Award for Outstanding IWIRC Network in 2014. She is a mentor to junior members of the bar and has demonstrated positivity and leadership as a woman in the New Jersey legal community.”

Terri earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Muhlenberg College where she was a member of Phi Sigma Tau, an international philosophy honor society.
