ROI-NJ Names 4 CSG Law Women Leaders To Its 2024 Influencers: Women in Business List

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) congratulates four of its women leaders on being named to ROI-NJ’s 2024 Influencers: Women in Business list this week.

Managing Member Patricia K. Costello ranked 24th in the state, earning the highest placement of any private practice lawyer on the list. She was joined by Lisa A. John-Basta, Chair of the firm’s Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning Group, Jennifer M. Porter, Practice Group Leader of the Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning Group, and Tremain L. Stanley, Chair and Practice Group Leader of the Family Law Group. Pat was also named to ROI-NJ’s Influencers: Women in Business list in 2022 and 2023.

Patricia Costello was named Managing Member in 2022, becoming the first woman to serve as the leading executive at the firm since its founding 50 years ago. In this role, Pat oversees the operations of the firm which today enjoys more than $114 million in revenues, more than 180 attorneys and more than 300 employees overall, with offices in two states – New Jersey and New York.

Lisa John-Basta has 20 years of experience representing both municipalities and private developers throughout the local and outside agency land use and redevelopment entitlement process. Lisa is the co-author to the most preeminent treatise on land use and zoning in the State, entitled, New Jersey Zoning & Land Use Administration, 2015-2024 Editions, published by Gann Law Books and commonly referred to as the “Cox Book” in the land use field. She is also the co-author of the Municipal Land Use Law Chapter of the Complete Guide to Planning in New Jersey, 2010 Third Edition, as well as the 2018 Fourth Edition, published by the American Planning Association, New Jersey Chapter.

Jennifer Porter practices zoning and land use development law in four states (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut) establishes her as a key player in helping clients expand into the regional real estate market. Jennifer represents clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to developers, owners and lessees of commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties. She represents client in all aspects of land use, zoning and development law.

Tremain Stanley is a seasoned litigator and mediator with more than 20 years of experience, and she is regularly called upon by individuals engaged in family and matrimonial disputes to mediate and to help negotiate, settle and enforce agreements involving divorce, child support and custody, alimony and domestic violence. In 2015, Tremain participated in the Supreme Court of New Jersey’s Domestic Violence Pilot Program, which sought to explore the possibility of economic mediation in disputes in which there is a final restraining order.
