NJ Spotlight: Will Trump’s Clean-Water Rollback Imperil NJ’s Small Streams, Wetlands?
Dennis M. Toft was featured in a NJ Spotlight article discussing the effect of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s repeal of the 2015 Clean Water Rule, which aimed to clarify which waterbodies are federally regulated under the Clean Water Act, on New Jersey.
In the article, he explains that the State’s jurisdiction over federal programs contributes, in part, to a lessened impact – as well as the fact that, unlike other states and the federal government, New Jersey regulates transition areas near wetlands and riparian lands.
