CSG’s Thomas J. Trautner Makes Second Consecutive Appearance Among NJBIZ Commercial Real Estate Power 50
Thomas J. Trautner, a Member with Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC’s (“CSG”) Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group, has been named to NJBIZ’s 2021 Commercial Real Estate Power 50 – a recognition of the most influential leaders in New Jersey’s commercial real estate sector – following his inaugural appearance on the listing in 2020.
NJBIZ touts Tom’s continued industry presence as “one of the most respected real estate attorneys in the state with deep expertise in redevelopment and land use, eminent domain, affordable housing, community associations and real estate litigation. During the pandemic, clients across the real estate industry relied on his experience as they sought to navigate a complex and evolving legal and business landscape.”
The publication further notes his involvement within the greater commercial real estate community outside of his legal practice, saying, “In addition to his role as a real estate partner with Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC, Trautner serves as co-chair of the Urban Land Institute Northern New Jersey, one of the state’s preeminent real estate organizations, where he has helped the nonprofit provide a diverse array of programming and insight.”
With over two decades of experience, Tom has played a vital role in the growth of CSG’s real estate practice into one of the area’s largest through his involvement in transformative projects and high-profile matters across the State. His efforts and thought leadership have also earned him recognition from Best Lawyers in America in the area of Real Estate Law and from New Jersey Super Lawyers in the area of Land Use/Zoning.
Tom’s selection to the listing marks the latest in a flurry of external recognitions for CSG’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group – including being named the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2021 Dealmakers of the Year – and its individual team members such as Mitchell S. Berkey, Chair of the Group, who was named among The National Law Journal’s 2021 Real Estate and Construction Trailblazers, and Lisa A. John-Basta, a Member with the Group and land use attorney, who was named to NJBIZ’s Best 50 Women in Business earlier this year.
