CSG Named to Bloomberg Law’s Inaugural 2021 DEI Framework
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) is pleased to announce that it has been named to Bloomberg Law’s inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (“DEI”) Framework, which recognizes firms for the disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six core pillars of an effective DEI program: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity and inclusion in the community. Notably, CSG is one of only 28 U.S.-based law firms listed in the framework.
CSG’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Initiative have played important roles in keeping the firm’s nearly 300 employees unified over the course of the remote work experience. From a firmwide diversity training program to leading the charge on fundraisers that saw Team CSG raise more than $34,000 in support of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and a dynamic mix of event programming and external partnerships with a focus on developing a recruiting pipeline, these groups have undoubtedly helped move CSG in a continuously progressive direction with the critical principles of DEI in mind.
Bloomberg Law’s DEI Framework was developed in collaboration with Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index team, as well as diversity leads at corporations and U.S.-based law firms. Performance was assessed across more than 85 metrics, each associated with one of the framework’s six core pillars. Going forward, the methodology and membership criteria will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure alignment with industry trends, methodologies, and best practices.
