CSG Law Taps New Leadership for Employment Law Group

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) is pleased to announce that Melissa A. Salimbene has been named Chair of CSG Law’s Employment Law Group, joining her colleague and fellow chair, Catherine P. Wells, in the leadership of the practice group. Lindsay A. Dischley has also been named the group’s Practice Group Leader.

Melissa, who served as the Practice Group Leader before her elevation to Chair, represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including defending claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes and breach of contract. Melissa provides counseling to businesses on employee hiring, discipline and termination, classification, policies and procedures, wage and hour requirements, ADA accommodations and other workforce management issues. She also conducts internal workplace investigations, and she advises on employment issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, downsizing and reorganization.

“I am deeply honored and appreciative to have been selected for the role of Chair of the Employment Department at CSG Law,” Melissa said. “I am fortunate to have worked alongside my mentor and friend Catherine Wells for nearly 20 years, and I am excited to continue collaborating with her in leading our department. I am also thrilled for my dear friend and colleague Lindsay Dischley to take over the role of Practice Group Leader. Lindsay is a dedicated and talented professional, and I know she will excel in this important position.  I look forward to working with Catherine and Lindsay, and the rest of our fantastic team, in continuing to provide exceptional services to our clients.”

Catherine is a commercial litigator with more than 30 years of experience representing management in all types of employment-related matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues and other business-related torts. In addition to regularly appearing before the state and federal courts in New Jersey, Catherine routinely handles matters before numerous administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Commission, United States Department of Labor, New Jersey Division on Civil Rights and other administrative agencies.

Lindsay represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, retaliation and wage and hour claims in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York and before federal, state, and local administrative agencies, including the EEOC, New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development, New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, New York State Division of Human Rights, and New York City Commission on Human Rights. In addition, Lindsay provides counsel to business owners and human resources professionals to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and obligations, and she conducts internal workplace investigations on employment related issues such as claims of harassment and discrimination.
