CSG Law Named to NJBIA’s 4th Annual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) was recently recognized for its commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (“DEI”) Initiatives by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (“NJBIA”) in its 4th Annual New Jersey Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards.
“These selected entities realize that the workforce has changed,” the NJBIA said in its announcement. “That DEI initiatives today are moving families, society, culture and businesses forward.”
“CSG Law acknowledges that a diversity of ideas, backgrounds and experience are essential to meeting the firm’s pursuit of providing world-class legal services,” Managing Member Patricia K. Costello told the association. “CSG Law’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Women’s Initiative, both focus on helping to shape the future of the firm through providing professional development, training and mentorship, connecting with external organizations to support valuable DEI initiatives, and supporting pipeline programs to increase opportunities and access for others.”
As part of its commitment to DEI, the firm created two $50,000 endowments to Rutgers Law School and Seton Hall University School of Law in honor of the firm’s 50th anniversary in 2022. The endowments will be used to provide scholarships for students with outstanding academic records, with preference given to first generation law students, those who have overcome socio-economic or educational hardship, and/or have demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with historically underserved communities.
