CSG Law Expands Patent Group, Names New Co-Chair

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) is pleased to announce the expansion of the Patent Group, and the addition of a new co-chair.

The firm expanded the practice group to incorporate litigators to meet the growing needs of clients in the area of patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation. As part and parcel of that, Joseph V. Saphia has joined Jeffrey M. Weinick as Chair of the group.

“I look forward to working with Jeffrey Weinick to expand the services available to clients in the Patent Group,” Joseph Saphia said.

Joseph joined the firm in early 2022, and he is also the Head of the Life Sciences Team. He has an educational background in pharmacy and pharmacology and more than 20 years of experience representing technology start-ups, international pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer goods companies. Joseph focuses his practice on patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation.

Jeffrey Weinick is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on the acquisition of patent rights throughout the world, the management of intellectual property assets and the licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Jeff’s clients range from Fortune 500 companies to startup technology companies.
