CSG Issues Statement Against Racial and Ethnic Injustice and Hatred

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

CSG stands united in its condemnation of racial injustice in our society today as evidenced, most recently, by the brutal killing of George Floyd. Tragically, countless lives have been lost at the hands of racial and ethnic hatred and fear over the course of our Nation’s history.

CSG stands in resolute solidarity with peaceful protesters both here in the United States and abroad who have gathered, marched and demanded justice and equality under the law.

We, the CSG family, reject the ease of passivity and refuse to turn a blind eye to the scourge of racism, xenophobia and intolerance in any form. As members of the legal profession, we play a critical role in the pursuit and the protection of the democratic ideals of liberty, equality and justice for all.
