Abigail J. Remore Installed as President of New Jersey Women Lawyers Association
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is pleased to announce that on July 14, 2026, Abigail J. Remore, a Member in the firm’s Trademarks & Copyrights Group, was formally installed as the President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA). Abby’s position for the 2026-2027 term became effective on July 1.
“NJWLA is a fantastic organization that I am proud to have the opportunity to lead, particularly as we continue to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its revitalization,” she said. “I follow in the impressive footsteps of some truly generous, kind and hardworking women who served as president before me, including CSG Law’s own Michelle Schaap. I hope not only to further the good work of these prior leaders but to make my own mark on an organization that has meant so much to me personally and professionally.”
Five CSG Law attorneys were also elected and installed as Committee Directors for a two-year term:
- Paula I. Brueckner, Counsel in the Trademarks & Copyrights Group, was re-elected as a co-director of the Marketing Committee.
- Jeanelly Nuñez, an associate in the Litigation Group, was elected co-director of the Diversity Committee.
- Brittany A. Manna, an associate in the Litigation Group, was elected co-director of the Women’s Leadership Committee.
- Claudia M. Theagene, an associate in the Tech, Privacy, and Data Innovations Group, and Adela Maria Barbura, an associate in the Trademarks & Copyrights Group, were elected co-directors of the Young Lawyers Committee.
“Among the other members of the Executive Board and committee directors, I especially look forward to working with many other CSG colleagues who will have positions with NJWLA this term, including Paula, Jeanelly, Brittany, Claudia, and Adela,” Abby said. “I am so grateful to CSG Law for its unwavering support of NJWLA and encouragement of my involvement in the organization, and am honored to have the chance to serve as the president of an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the legal profession – where women and diverse lawyers support each other throughout the challenges that a life in the law presents us.”
Formed in 1981, the NJWLA is dedicated to advancing and retaining women of all backgrounds in the legal profession and providing a voice for its members concerning issues of importance to women. The organization’s mission includes promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive bar for all women and to the benefit of the legal profession. NJWLA works to foster leadership and inclusion among its membership, promote gender equality in the legal field, endorse qualified female attorneys for judicial appointments, and encourage young women to consider careers in law. The association offers various resources, including a mentoring program, scholarship opportunities, grants, educational programs, and events to foster leadership and community among its members.
