Wolff & Samson Grows Bankruptcy Practice; Firm Hires Bankruptcy and Restructuring Attorneys Scott Zuber and Steven Sheldon

Wolff & Samson PC is pleased to announce the expansion of its Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group through the addition of Scott A. Zuber and Steven J. Sheldon. Mr. Zuber, who joins as a member of the firm, and Mr. Sheldon, who joins as counsel, were previously with Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP. They are highly regarded in the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring and commercial finance law and combined have more than 40 years of experience in these areas. Prior to practicing at Wilson Elser, the pair was with Day Pitney LLP.

Mr. Zuber concentrates his practice on bankruptcy/creditors' rights and related commercial litigation. His experience includes post-petition financing and cash collateral matters; plan negotiation and confirmation issues; asset sales; representation of, and participation on, creditors' committees; federal appellate practice; trading in claims; avoidance action litigation; pre-bankruptcy workouts; commercial collections and negotiating and drafting commercial loan documents, including those related to asset-based transactions. He is a Former Master of Bankruptcy Inn of Court, American Inns of Court, and was selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business from 2009–2013. Mr. Zuber is licensed to practice in New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey and Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law and a B.A. from Rutgers University.
Mr. Sheldon provides general commercial and financial services advice to Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions, and represents corporate clients, banks and commercial lenders in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of various types of complex transactions. He regularly advises clients in sophisticated Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations, including such matters as asset sales, financing and cash collateral matters, and claims litigation. He was selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business from 2011-2012. Mr. Sheldon is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey and Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He received his J.D. cum laude from Villanova University School of Law and a B.A. summa cum laude from Northeastern University, B.A., 1997.
