Employers Breakfast Briefing: Family and Medical Leave -- Navigating the Nuances and Administering Leaves in Accordance with Federal and State Law
New Jersey employers and attorneys counseling employers have continued to grapple with the differences between the federal Family and Medical Leave Act and the New Jersey Family Leave Law. This seminar will focus on the intricacies of the federal statute as well as the differences between federal and state law. The program will also address an employer’s obligations to provide protected leave, the amount of leave required under various circumstances, the timing and form of the notices required to employees, the employer’s obligation to provide benefits during leave, the employee’s eligibility for non-employer paid benefits during leave, the coordination and administration of benefits during leave, and the employee’s right to reinstatement at the conclusion of the leave.
