Wolff & Samson Announces New Members and Counsel

Wolff & Samson PC is pleased to announce the promotions of six of its attorneys: Dorit F. Kressel and Thomas J. Trautner Jr. were elevated to member of the firm, and Nicole DiMaria, Bruce D. Ettman, Russel D. Francisco and Todd W. Terhune became counsel.
Their promotions were effective January 1, 2010.

Dorit F. Kressel – Became a member in the firm’s Public Finance Group. She has served as bond counsel in numerous transactions at the state, county and local levels and also as the underwriter’s counsel, borrower’s counsel and trustee’s counsel in public finance matters. In addition, she advises on issues relating to campaign finance and regulatory compliance.

Kressel graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Law Review. Prior to joining Wolff & Samson, she served as a judicial law clerk to Associate Justice Gary S. Stein of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Thomas J. Trautner Jr. – Became a member in the Real Estate, Development and Land Use Group. He represents commercial developers in all aspects of the approval process and advises on diverse topics such as redevelopment, COAH and affordable housing law.

Trautner earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law. Prior to joining Wolff & Samson, Trautner served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Eugene D. Serpentelli, Assignment Judge to the Superior Court of New Jersey in Ocean County.

Nicole DiMaria – Became counsel in the Health Care and Hospital Group. She represents health care professionals, physician groups, ambulatory care facilities, health care and hospital systems, and other health-related entities. She provides both health care corporate and regulatory counseling and advises clients on matters such as Federal Stark and Anti-Kickback Law compliance, HIPAA compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, state licensing and state health care/professional regulatory compliance.

DiMaria earned her J.D., with a concentration in health law, from Seton Hall Law School.

Bruce D. Ettman – Became counsel in the Litigation Group. He represents private and public sector clients, with his practice focusing on general commercial litigation and employment litigation. He also advises on products liability defense, restrictive covenant litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, environmental litigation, asbestos claims, police liability claims and insurance coverage disputes.

Prior to its merger with Wolff & Samson, Ettman worked with Spadoro & Hilson. Ettman earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and was a teacher prior to becoming an attorney.

Russel D. Francisco – Became counsel in the Litigation Group. He practices in the areas of securities litigation and arbitration, securities regulation, general commercial litigation, white collar criminal investigations and litigation, and information security.

Francisco earned his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Prior to joining the firm, Francisco was a litigation associate in the New York City offices of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP.

Todd W. Terhune – Became counsel in the Environmental Group. He advises clients on environmental due diligence, ISRA compliance and other environmental regulatory compliance issues that arise in connection with real estate and business transactions, or as a result of regulatory action. Terhune also represents clients in commercial real estate transactions, including Brownfield redevelopment projects, and in remediation and land use permitting matters before the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Terhune received his J.D. from Widener University Law School. A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Terhune was an environmental engineering consultant for eight years prior to becoming an attorney.
