New Jersey Business: Cybersecurity for Small Businesses
Michelle A. Schaap was featured in a New Jersey Business article titled “Cybersecurity for Small Businesses.” Michelle advises that the biggest cybersecurity problem for small business may be their employees, stating, “It is not necessarily that businesses have malicious employees; it is that they have employees who don’t know better. Michelle also discusses employee security awareness training and regular risk assessments as measures that small business should consider to limit their cyber vulnerabilities. The article also summarizes the importance of software restriction policies, cybersecurity insurance and the role of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in keeping businesses safe from cyber threats.
