CSG's Rosh Jaffe Recognized Among Real Estate Weekly's 2020 Rising Stars
Rosh H. Jaffe, Co-Chair of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC’s (“CSG”) Banking & Finance practice and a Member with the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group, has been named a 2020 Rising Star by Real Estate Weekly. With the challenges brought to the fore by the COVID-19 pandemic as a backdrop, this year’s recognition acknowledges up-and-coming real estate professionals who have “transcended the turbulence around them to solve problems, create solutions and drive their business forward during historic times.”
Named Co-Chair of CSG’s Banking & Finance practice in October 2019, Rosh has spearheaded the remarkable growth – in deal sophistication, volume and attorney headcount – of the practice’s transactional element. Over the course of the past year, he has served as lead lending counsel on more than $500 million in real estate, construction and asset-based financings and, in 2020, led the practice on its way to collectively eclipsing the $1 billion milestone of deals advised on.
“Since joining CSG, Rosh has a played a critical role in reenergizing the transactional suite of services our firm provides to both lenders and borrowers – taking on increasingly unconventional loans involving a myriad of innovative financing structures and collateral,” noted Daniel A. Schwartz, CSG’s Managing Member. “We congratulate our esteemed colleague on this richly deserved recognition and thank him for his many contributions as one of the key attorneys leading our firm’s charge in New York City.”
Rosh’s practice focuses on a variety of banking and finance matters – with an emphasis on advising money center banks, institutional lenders, private banks and lenders as well as regional and foreign-based banks and lenders across a range of transaction types. His extensive experience encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition, refinancing and construction financing, remedial workouts, distressed debt and debt restructuring transactions. Rosh also advises his clients in connection with asset-based lending, life insurance premium finance, and loans secured by marketable securities, investment property, including hedge fund interest, objet d'art and maritime vessels.
