CSG's Nicole DiMaria Appointed to Board of NJSBA Health Law Section

Nicole DiMaria, Practice Group Leader of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC’s (“CSG”) Healthcare & Hospital Group, has been named to the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (“NJSBA”) Health Law Section (the “Section”), which is committed to keeping association members and the organizations they serve informed of changes in laws and regulations affecting the provision of healthcare services. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Section’s Legislative Coordination Committee, which is responsible for assessing proposed New Jersey healthcare legislation.

“The current COVID-19 environment has created unprecedented operational disruptions and regulatory challenges for the healthcare sector, and I am eager to draw from my experience and that of my fellow board members to the benefit of the State’s industry and its many stakeholders — especially during these difficult times,” she notes.

In her practice, Nicole represents a wide range of healthcare entities such as healthcare professionals, physician groups, ambulatory care facilities, healthcare and hospital systems, long-term care facilities, and medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, as well as companies that provide services to the healthcare industry. She assists clients in navigating complex corporate and regulatory issues and advises on matters such as Federal Stark and Anti-Kickback Law compliance; HIPAA/HITECH Covered Entity and Business Associate compliance; Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and enrollment; CHAPA, certificate of need and state licensing; and State health care and professional regulatory compliance.

Nicole served as Vice-Chair of the American Health Law Association (“AHLA”) Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group for several years and also served as Co-Chair of the AHLA’s Health Law Curriculum Task Force.
