Othiamba (“O.T.”) N. Lovelace is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group, Labor & Employment Group and White Collar Criminal Defense & Government Investigations Group. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, ERISA related disputes, collective bargaining agreement negotiations, New Jersey prevailing wage claims and disputes resulting from federal and state contract compliance audits.
Othiamba has represented a variety of clients in civil court including financial institutions, recording artists, internet service providers, government agencies, hotel chains, general contractors, law firms and large petroleum and petrochemical manufacturers. He has defended a variety of criminal clients facing a range of charges including, international terrorism, drug distribution, drug conspiracy and fraud. He has extensive experience handling complex arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. He also has direct experience negotiating and resolving federal and state contract compliance issues resulting from audits brought by various government agencies like the New Jersey Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.
Prior to joining the firm, Othiamba was an associate at Reed Smith LLP. Othiamba earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law. While in law school, Othiamba was a law clerk for the Hamburger Law Firm.
