The Honorable Jerome St. John joined CSG after serving ten years as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge, including the last five as a judge in the Appellate Division.
Judge St. John concentrates his practice on resolving disputes through mediation and arbitration. He also advises financial institutions, investment banks and public entities on a variety of financings, in addition to advising business entities on matters involving corporate authority, project finance, employment and dispute resolution.
Judge St. John served in both the civil and criminal divisions, and was the Chancery conflicts judge before his elevation to the Appellate Division in 2011. During his tenure as an appellate judge, he reviewed hundreds of decisions by lower courts and administrative bodies. Prior to his appointment to the bench in 2006, he was a partner at St. John & Wayne.
Believing in the obligation of public service, Judge St. John served his community as a councilman and as mayor of Essex Fells. He also served on the Essex Fells School Board. In addition, he has been an active volunteer at New Community Corporation in Newark for over 30 years.
Judge St. John received his J.D. from Seton Hall Law School and his A.B. from Villanova University.
