Gregory J. Murgia

Counsel
Gregory J. Murgia, counsel with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, is a registered U.S. patent attorney with more than 20 years of experience in patent prosecution, intellectual property (IP) transactions, IP monetization and strategy, portfolio management and defense of third party claims.

A former senior director and senior IP corporate counsel with a multinational telecommunications company, Gregg brings extensive experience managing all aspects of a global patent creation and prosecution operation across a diverse set of technologies – including optical and data networking, computer systems and software, wireless communications and security.

He has also developed a strong practice in M&A and divestiture transactions – supporting all facets of IP due diligence through post-closing integration activities.

Prior to joining CSG, Gregg was a partner with an IP consulting firm, where he provided clients with end-to-end licensing services, helped manage global patent portfolios and assisted with U.S. and German patent litigation matters and related inter partes review (IPR) proceedings.
