Mitchell Berkey Selected For New Jersey Governor's Blue Ribbon Panel

Mitchell S. Berkey, a member of Wolff & Samson's Real Estate, Development and Land Use Group, was hand-picked by New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine for a position on the New Jersey Real Estate Advisory Board, the governor’s newly formed blue ribbon panel.
The panel is comprised of economic development leaders throughout the state, representing a cross-section of New Jersey's major industry sectors.
Berkey, whose practice areas include real estate, financing and corporate law, has an extensive commercial transaction background. He’s experienced in acquisitions, sales, financing, development, construction, leasing, management, workouts, as well as general corporate matters.
Berkey also counsels clients on all aspects of business formation, operation, financing, disposition and succession planning. He is a frequent lecturer to industry groups, and has authored numerous articles on real estate and asset management issues.
The advisory panel will support the initiatives outlined in Governor Corzine's Economic Assistance and Recovery Plan, which was announced in October. The board membership represents the following sectors: Academic, Banking / Lending, Construction Management, Housing, Industrial, Law, Office, Trade Organization, Retail, Risk Management, Broker / Dealers and Investors.
