CSG Ranked in Top 15 Bond Counsel Nationwide in 2015
January 28, 2016
Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG”) today announced that The Bond Buyer has ranked the firm among the nation’s top 15 bond counsel firms, based on principal amount of 2015 transactions.
CSG’s top-15 ranking stems from several notable publicly offered bond issues, including financings for the State of New Jersey and Arizona’s Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District. In addition, and not reflected in the rankings, CSG’s public finance group members Bernard Davis, Tricia Gasparine, Dorit Kressel and John Scally Jr. also served as bond counsel in connection with numerous privately placed conduit bond issues totaling in excess of $130 million, nearly $600 million in direct loan transactions for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and a $500 million commercial paper offering for Salt River Project.
“Throughout the course of 2015, our team was focused on fostering and expanding our client relationships in New Jersey, while further establishing our national presence, as indicated by our work with Salt River Project and in connection with other transactions outside New Jersey for which we acted as underwriter’s counsel,” said Ms. Gasparine.
Ms. Kressel added, “We look forward to continuing this momentum in 2016, and, most importantly, in continuing to earn the trust of our clients so that they continue to look to CSG to handle their most important projects and transactions.”
In 2015, taking into account all public bond offerings, private placements and commercial paper offerings handled by the firm’s public finance group, the aggregate principal amount of debt for which CSG served as bond counsel totaled nearly $5 billion.
