Wolff & Samson Achieves High Rankings in 2014 Chambers USA

May 23, 2014

Wolff & Samson is pleased to announce that the firm and its attorneys have once again been recognized in the latest edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In the newly released 2014 Chambers rankings, six of the firm’s practice areas and 12 of its attorneys are included in what is widely considered one of the most prestigious guides in the legal industry.

The following Wolff & Samson practice areas are recognized in Chambers (the “Guide”) as among the leading practices in New Jersey:

Environmental (Band 1) Chambers quotes a client to describe the strengths of the Environmental Group: “They are outstanding; extremely bright, responsive and professional, I really can't say enough good about them. They've provided us with great advice and great service." Also noted in the Guide, the Environmental Group “provides a full service in the environment arena, offering strong litigation skills as well as years of experience with issues such as brownfield redevelopment, site remediation and transactional matters.”

Corporate/M&A (Band 3) According to the Chambers editorial, the team “offers a broad-based transactional practice and prides itself on offering a seamless service between departments. [The Corporate Group] serves numerous large public companies as well as smaller privately held businesses, with sectors of experience ranging from major retail developments to healthcare.”

Healthcare (Band 3) Chambers quoted one of the Healthcare and Hospital Group’s clients: “In a difficult and constantly changing healthcare environment the firm provides expert representation and guidance to my hospital.” The Guide also noted the Wolff & Samson healthcare team “acts for some of the largest healthcare providers in New Jersey” and “offers a full-service healthcare group that has expertise in regulation, litigation and merger transactions.”

Intellectual Property (Band 3) Chambers described Wolff & Samson’s IP Group as having a “wide-ranging practice with experience acting for clients on a comprehensive array of IP law topics. [The Group has] notable expertise in the data networking, e-commerce, telecommunications and publishing sectors.”

Litigation (Band 2) Chambers states that the firm’s Litigation Group is “recognized for its expertise advising clients on a broad spectrum of disputes including bankruptcy, franchise, and corporate and partnership issues,” citing extensive trial experience before federal and state courts, and at appellate level.

Labor and Employment (Band 4) Of the Employment Group at Wolff & Samson, Chambers quotes: “They lay out the legal issues but come up with solutions that balance the business with the legal risks to make a reasonable decision rather than avoiding all risk." The Group is also noted for “defending management of companies of all sizes against claims relating to discrimination, wage and hour, whistle-blower and breach of employment agreements.”

In addition, Wolff & Samson is extremely pleased to note that Chambers selected the following 12 firm attorneys as among the leading practitioners in New Jersey:
