John A. McKinney Jr. Receives NELMCC Award
February 29, 2012
Wolff & Samson PC is proud to announce that member of the firm John A. McKinney Jr. is the inaugural recipient of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (NELMCC) Distinguished Contributor Award.
The award is presented annually to an individual who has consistently exhibited their support through the dedication of time, energy and financial resources to the NELMCC, which is recognized as the preeminent environmental law moot court competition in the United States. McKinney was presented the award on February 25 at Pace Law School after he completed his judging of the semi-final round of this year’s competition.
McKinney has more than 35 years of experience representing clients facing serious environmental and occupational safety and health issues. He brings an understanding of the client’s perspective – gained from serving as in-house counsel earlier in his law career – to his law practice. McKinney represents companies in environmental litigation, enforcement and permitting matters as well as in the areas of historic preservation, site remediation and the allocation of remediation costs. In his spare time, he is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall Law School teaching New Jersey Environmental Law and a founding and active member of the Justice Stewart G. Pollock Environmental American Inn Of Court.
